Containerisation International Yearbook

The Containerisation International Yearbook has been published for almost 40 years and is regarded by many as the definitive source of information for the container industry. The data is fully revised and updated each year to provide comprehensive information and contact details for the global container shipping and transport industry.

In the past, production of the Yearbook entailed a large amount of manual layout and styling within the Quark desktop publishing software. In order to streamline this process, Fusion developed an application that makes use of Quark’s tagging system to export data directly from the database and combine it with styling information.

CIQuarkWorkflow 

This process results in near production ready files that can be imported directly into Quark for final finishing. This development has streamlined the Yearbook production process and has resulted in significant reductions in both costs and the time taken to get the book ready for printing.

Containerisation Yearbook opened

The Containerisation International Yearbook is an Informa publication.

The process proved so successful that it enabled the launch of a brand new publication, the World Directory of Shipping Agents.
