Junior Web Developers
Fusion Internet Solutions, based in Rochester, Kent, is a Microsoft Certified Partner providing innovative customised end-to-end web solutions that empower our customers to improve their competitive edge. In order to meet strategic objectives, Fusion is expanding its custom software development team and opening up an exciting opportunity for Junior Web Developers. You will join a dynamic development team and be involved in delivering leading-edge web solutions based on the latest Microsoft technologies. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to train to attain Microsoft Certified Professional in software development certification.
The package includes a salary, negotiable according to experience, 5% contributory pension and 25 days holiday.
Qualifications required
You should have obtained or be working towards a degree in an appropriate subject. Applications from suitable final year undergraduates are welcomed. Alternatively you may have already obtained equivalent professional experience. Other essential development skills, knowledge and abilities include:
• Knowledge and experience of software development.
• Knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework lifecycle.
• Knowledge and experience of object-oriented techniques.
• Experience of developing in C#, or fluent in more than one software language (such as VB.NET).
• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiar with website development, including use of (X)HTML and CSS.
• An understanding of database structure.
• A high standard of written and verbal communication is expected.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the analysis & design phases of software development.
• Writing code and implementing user interface components to meet the specified requirements, (including HTML, CSS) to meet the specified requirements.
• Maintain appropriate records of development completed and communicate them to other team members in the appropriate manner.
• Assisting in internal testing of software to ensure the quality of delivered software.
• Assisting in third-line support and maintenance of software by identifying and rectifying bugs in software.
• Attaining and maintaining appropriate industry qualifications (e.g. Microsoft certifications).
